DID YOU KNOW? TIGERS ROAR !! This was the logo for the Yearbook in 1963. Yes, we were previously Tigers.

Visitors of note to the AIS/AES campus include actors Kirk Douglas and Gregory Peck; the internationally renowned French Mime Marcel Marceau; the recently deceased, also internationally known, Indian musician Ravi Shankar; iconic American artist Norman Rockwell; novelist Arthur C Clarke (2001: A Space Odyssey) and mathematician and Cybernetics founder Norbert Weiner; Indira Gandhi; Space Shuttle Commander Rick Hauch; Buckminster Fuller and civil-rights activist Coretta Scott King; Louis Untemeyer, poet and anthologist; and this autumn, Timothy Geithner – an alum and then -Treasury Secretary of the United States.

In 1965-1966 an exclusive elementary yearbook was introduced! Prior to that, the yearbook encompassed all grades.

In 1971, the high school yearbook carried an advertisement that was introduced by the Indian Government – Family Planning!

AES had boarders at one time! 1973-1974 school year was the last for boarders. No more boarding school!

60 years of AES brilliance!

What:  Dinner (jump to the newly added menu), Dancing, Drinks
When: Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 7:00 pm until midnight
Where: In the new AES Anniversary Garden and on the MS FieldCost: Tickets are Rs 4000 per person, including dinner and drinks – this year you do not have to purchase a table

How: Tickets will be available for sale from Tuesday, February 19. Look for our 50s inspired ‘kiosk’

Who: The event is open to the entire AES adult community and friends, but the tickets are limited (given the change of venue)

Why: NUTS is typically one of our 2 large fundraisers at AES, but this year the Anniversary Garden has filled that role. This event is the unveiling of that Garden, and the chance to celebrate together our 60th Anniversary. There are no additional fundraising aspects to the evening (Raffle or Silent Auction) – just come have fun!
